A Collection of 3D Animation

《三维动画》是《三维设计与表现》的后续课程,旨在帮助低年级同学,特别是数媒方向学生掌握基本的三维动画创作技巧,为将来的影像、游戏与交互创作奠定数字艺术能力基础。本学期的创作主题是“二十四节气”,同学可以选择其中一个节气作为灵感来源展开创意与演绎,产出一段30秒到3分钟的三维动画短片。下面是部分作品的混剪合集:
3D Animation is a follow-up course to 3D Design and Visualization. The course aims to help junior students, especially those specializing in digital media, master fundamental techniques for 3D animation creation and establish a foundation in digital art skills for future work in filmmaking, game development, and interactive media.
The theme of this semester’s final project is the Twenty-Four Solar Terms. Students may choose one solar term as the source of inspiration and develop their own creative interpretations, producing a 3D animated short film, 30 seconds to 3 minutes in length. Below is a collection of selected works.

本学期的课程首次尝试在教学过程中全面引入生成式AI(GenAI)与动作捕捉(Mo-cap)两项前沿技术来提升学生创作三维动画的效率与效果,解决设计类专业动画相关课时不足的问题。课程得到了字节跳动公司旗下即梦产品的支持,学生须以手工方式或通过动作捕捉技术完成关键帧或白模动画作为参考,然后使用即梦等AI工具来渲染最终影像。当然,学生如果希望学习和锻炼传统的三维动画技术,也可以选择不借助AI完全通过传统流程完成作品。
This semester, the course made its first attempt to comprehensively integrate two cutting-edge technologies—Generative AI (GenAI) and Motion Capture (Mo-cap)—into the teaching process, aiming to improve students’ efficiency and quality in creating 3D animations and address the challenge of insufficient animation-related course hours in design disciplines.
The course was supported by Seedance, a generative AI product developed by ByteDance. Students were required to create keyframe animations or rough blockout animations either manually or through motion capture techniques as references, and then use AI tools such as Seedance to render the final visual outcomes. Meanwhile, students who wished to further study and practice traditional 3D animation techniques could choose to complete their works entirely through conventional production workflows without the assistance of AI.

通过这次教学内容重构,我们探索了基于前沿技术提升设计类学生动画表达能力的可能性,也找到了很多可以在后续课程中继续改进的方向。下面是本课程作业中三件颇具特色的学生作品,敬请欣赏。
Through this restructuring of the course content, we explored the possibilities of enhancing design students’ animation expression capabilities through cutting-edge technologies, while also identifying many directions for further improvement in future courses. 1. 雪夜访戴 · Visiting Dai on a Snowy Night

作品改编自同名的传统故事——《雪夜访戴》,将一雪夜的路程夸张化延长至一整个四季,以体现“享受过程”这个主旨。作品除了展现大雪节气外,也概括的展现了其他节气的风光。作品采用了毛毡玩偶的定格动画风格。
Adapted from the traditional Chinese story of the same title, Xue Ye Fang Dai (A Visit to Dai on a Snowy Night), this work transforms a journey that originally takes place over a single snowy night into an entire cycle of four seasons, emphasizing the theme of “enjoying the process.” In addition to depicting the solar term of Major Snow, the work also presents the scenery and atmosphere of other seasonal periods. The animation adopts a stop-motion style featuring felt-crafted puppets.

流程上,作者首先通过动捕和手K获得一些关键帧分镜。然后为角色生成对应的设定图。这些材料结合内容、风格、镜头等提示词丢给AI,“抽卡”四到五次,就能完成一个片段。在前期,将分镜等内容准备的越多,画面就越符合想要的效果。
In terms of the workflow, the creator first obtains keyframe storyboards through motion capture and hand-keyed animation. Character design sheets are then generated based on these materials. By combining the story content, visual style, camera shots, and other prompts, these assets are fed into AI models. After four to five rounds of “generation and selection,” a complete scene can be produced. During the early preparation stage, the more detailed the storyboard and related materials are, the closer the generated visuals will be to the intended effect.

2. 冬至的魔法饺子 · Winter Solstice Magic Dumplings

本片从冬至民俗取材,复刻八十年代东北家中场景。采用了毛毡童趣风格,借助女儿捏面团产生的魔法随夕阳一同失效,隐喻儿童天真幻想随时间的消散。母亲极尽温柔,但对女儿能力和想象力的不信任,也引发对亲子视角差异的反思,致敬了短暂珍贵的童年本心。
Drawing on Winter Solstice folk customs, the work recreates domestic scenes in Northeast China in the 1980s. Adopting a felt-style childlike aesthetic, it features magic triggered by the little girl’s dough modeling that fades with the sunset, symbolizing the gradual vanishing of children’s innocent imagination. Though gentle, the mother fails to recognize her daughter’s creativity, reflecting divergent parent-child perspectives and paying tribute to the fleeting yet precious purity of childhood.

作者首先建模并搭建了简单的场景,运用AI图生模型生成老物件。然后运用AI图生模型生成角色。之后运用动捕技术获得骨骼动画。将骨骼动画绑定模型后放置于场景中获得分镜关键帧图片,再将分镜关键帧图片等材料交给AI生成视频,通过抽卡获得完整镜头内容。
The creator first builds and models the basic scene, and uses AI image-generation models to create vintage props and characters. Motion capture technology is adopted to obtain skeletal animations, which are bound to models and placed in the scene to generate storyboard keyframes. These materials are then imported into AI video generation tools to produce and screen final complete footage.

3. 冬之拥 · Winter Solstice’s Embrace

本作品以“冬至”节气为灵感,将物候意象融入国风超现实美学。故事立意于通过寒冬与怀念远方亲情温暖的对比,展现独居女孩在孤寂中对情感羁绊的渴望。借节令轮回隐喻希望与曙光,深刻传递出自然时序与人类情感之间的共鸣与治愈。
The story captures a girl’s quiet celebration far from home, reflecting the seasonal harmony between nature’s cycle and human emotion. Inspired by winter Wu Hou (phenology), this work channels the Winter Solstice theme—symbolizing light’s return amidst deep cold. Through a surreal, cinematic Guo Feng (Traditional Chinese style) aesthetic, it contrasts icy isolation with nostalgic familial warmth. The story captures a girl’s quiet celebration far from home, reflecting the seasonal harmony between nature’s cycle and human emotion.

本作品将传统3D动画管线与AIGC技术结合。先用可灵确定视觉风格,再于Blender中搭建3D白模与角色,精准设定5个镜头的运镜与时序;最后将白模输入即梦AI,在保留镜头动态的前提下,渲染出具电影级光影与细腻材质的高清画面,高效完成创作。
This work blends traditional 3D animation pipelines with AIGC technology. First, Kling AI established the visual style; then, Blender built 3D grey-box scenes and characters to precisely map out camera moves and timing for five shots. Finally, the grey-box models were fed into Seedance, preserving camera dynamics while rendering cinematic lighting, rich textures, and high-definition visuals for efficient creation.
