Monster Nian

Nian was a motion sensing game developed by Yunshui Jin, Tian Tian, Yupeng Lin under my guidance.  The story of the game came from the ancient Chinese tale that a monster named Nian would hunt and eat human beings on Chinese new year eve.  The monster was afraid of nothing but the flash and sound from firecrackers. The two players would play as a firecracker thrower and an archer with fire arrows with motion sensing controllers and they need to cooperate cleverly to drive monster Nian out of the village to save lives.  This game was awarded the 1st prize of the 2009’s National Digital Design Competition for University Students.
